Ice cream shop serves up deliciousness on the water! | Business
IceCream Floats a company serving frozen novelty ice cream to the boating community, will return for a second Memorial Day weekend on Fort Loudon Lake/Tennessee River.
Garren and Lyschel Burket, boaters in the East Tennessee area for 9 years, saw a need to provide frozen deliciousness to boaters while hanging out in their floaties. IceCream Floats, LLC offers “ice cream with a mission” as the servers on board will be students and individuals raising money to take mission trips and support nonprofit organizations.
During their first season they were able to assist 10 individuals in their fundraising efforts to reach Poland, and Zimbabwe, Africa; as well as local organizations like Young William Animal Shelter.
Operating Saturday and Sundays from 12:00am – 6:00pm, the ice cream boat will be at most on-the-water events this summer. Memorial Day weekend you will find them following their route which covers Friendsville/Louisville, the Cove/Concord area.
