Tupelo Honey Cafe opens it's doors on Market Square today

The much anticipated opening of Tupelo Honey Cafe is finally over!  The Asheville-based restaurant opens it's doors right here in Knoxville... TODAY!  At 11:00 am to be exact.

It's located at 1 Market Square in downtown Knoxville, adjacent to The Oliver Hotel.

The company hired 85 new employees who are ready to serve Knoxvillians.

Developers plan to renovate former downtown Arby's location

The building that once housed an Arby's restaurant on Gay Street in Downtown Knoxville will soon be renovated.

Developers plan to renovate the building from the ground up, at a cost of more than $2.4 million.

This building has sat vacant since Arby's closed in 2010.

Tuesday, the city council approved the developer's request to freeze the current property tax rate for ten years.

ADT becomes publicly traded company

ADT in Knoxville has officially separated from its parent company and is now a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange. The change became official Monday.

The security company also plans to add 200 new jobs to the Knoxville community.

ADT says the new positions are in addition to its more than 500 employees already working at its call monitoring center and sales and service office.

Hundreds of students hunted for their future jobs at Thompson-Boling arena on Tuesday.

More than 170 corporate employers, from Amazon to Pepsi, set up shop looking for new full-time, entry-level employees and internship candidates.

The fall job fair is typically UT's largest every year. It gives students a chance to speak with several potential employers in the same place.

Students say the job fair is a great opportunity.

"Look for anything online," said Alan Avriett, a Florida fan coming to Rocky Top. 10News met Avriett and his brother, Scott, a Vols fan, as they were driving to town. "There was nothing less than $300, and I said that's not going to happen, because we're staying three nights," Alan added.
