Run raises thousands for low-income kidney patients

More than 300 racers ran on Gay Street on Saturday morning.

It's part of the 6K fun run and 2K walk to benefit the East Tennessee Kidney Foundation.

Runners raced through Downtown Knoxville to raise money for low income patients who have kidney disease.

Officials say the money will help provide transportation for those patients who can't afford to get to their dialysis treatments.
