Governor Haslam votes early in Knoxville | News
Knox County's early voting total now tops 57,000, and Friday, Governor Bill Haslam added him name to the list.
He cast his ballot at the City County Building.
The governor says he thinks the Presidential race will be close until the end, and feels the candidates are tied right now.
He said it was good to be back in Knoxville, and that it's a privilege to vote early.
"One of the reasons I try to vote early is to remind everybody of how important it is to vote. Obviously, I have a preference that people vote for Republicans but that being said, the main critical thing is for people to vote. It's a huge privilege we have," said Governor Haslam.
