City to change one-way streets off Cumberland Avenue | News
(WBIR) The Cumberland Avenue corridor will soon include fewer one-way streets.
City officials announced Friday it's moving forward with plans to permanently convert four one-way streets off the eastern end of Cumberland Avenue into two-way roads.
The list includes 18th, 19th, Mountcastle and 21st streets.
Orange barrels will go up on those streets over the next couple of weeks to help drivers adjust to the new traffic patterns.
City leaders say the changes will increase safety and allow drivers to reach businesses on the Strip faster.
