UT Chancellor releases statement on diversity and includsion

(WBIR - KNOXVILLE) University of Tennessee Chancellor Jimmy Cheek released a statement Friday on diversity and inclusion on the UT campus following protests at a number of other schools.
Cheek said his highest priority was "having a safe, welcoming campus where each person is valued, no matter their identities, and where each of us can grow and learn free from hostility."
Last week, University of Missouri students staged rallies and protests. University of Missouri President Tim Wolfe and Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin resigned after being criticized for failing to be responsive to student concerns.
